An Aortic Nest
1. She promised to stay in my nest eternally,
But broke it for a black bib skillfully.
My love flew away leaving me in rain,
With a broken nest and nothing to gain.
2. One day I heard a chirping far away,
So beautiful it made the rain go away.
My nest started glowing like a firefly,
When her presence blessed the blue sky.
3. I followed the sound of chirping,
When I saw her I was tripping.
She was a lovely angel from the street,
With brown wings to beat the heat.
4. I flew behind her chasing a dream,
All the way by crossing the stream.
I heard a few chirpings from the tree,
Only to find she was a mother of three.
5. Bolt from the blue I never knew,
So top to bottom my nest skew.
But I saw a chick rubbing its beak,
With its mother while I took a peek.
6. I was not sad, I was not crying,
I realized waiting was worth trying.
I built the nest so strong this time,
Enough to last any rain in my prime.
